GÜCÜM GMVP series liquid ring single-stage vacuum pumps have a monoblock design: no coupling is required, the part count is low and the stage plates are stainless steel.
The pump runs oil-free and needs no lubricant in the working chamber. Compression of the drawn gas is largely isothermal and the rotating parts make no metallic contact. It can be used to evacuate dry and moist (vapour-laden) gases and a certain amount of liquid, in any application requiring an absolute pressure between 1013 and 33 mbar.
The pump must be fed continuously with service water to replace the water leaving the exhaust line and to keep the temperature down; the discharged water can be separated from the gas and reused. Sealing is by standard mechanical seal. Seen from the motor, the shaft turns clockwise.
