APX 20 Metallic Diaphragm Pump
The APX 20 Metal Diaphragm Pump, a metal-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 2" threaded connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 565 liters per minute.
Air-operated diaphragm pumps operate on the principle of a double diaphragm that moves alternately with compressed air; thanks to their seal-less design, they provide leak-free transfer, are self-priming, and are not damaged by dry running.
The housing material can be selected from aluminum, cast iron, or stainless steel (316); materials such as Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM can be used for the diaphragm and internal parts that come into contact with the fluid.
The stainless steel option is preferred for corrosive liquids and processes requiring high hygiene standards; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
The maximum suction lift is 6–8 m, and the discharge head is 0–84 mss; it can be used with liquids containing solids up to 6 mm in diameter.
The operating air pressure is 0–8.4 bar, the air connection is 3/4", and the air consumption is specified as 33–169 m³/h.
The metal-bodied series offers a durable construction for demanding industrial environments prone to mechanical impact.
