APX 15 Metallic Diaphragm Pump

The APX 15 Metal Diaphragm Pump, a metal-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 1½" threaded connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 400 liters per minute.

Air-operated diaphragm pumps operate on the principle of a double diaphragm that moves alternately with compressed air; thanks to their seal-less design, they provide leak-free transfer, are self-priming, and are not damaged by dry running.

The pump housing is available in Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Stainless Steel (316); options for the diaphragm and internal components in contact with the fluid include Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM.

The appropriate combination can be selected based on the pumped chemical; the stainless steel option is preferred for corrosive liquids and processes requiring hygiene; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.

The maximum suction head is 6–8 m, and the discharge head is 0–84 mss; it can be used with liquids containing solids up to 6 mm in diameter.

The pump is driven by compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range; the air connection is 3/4", and air consumption ranges from 16 to 85 m³/h.

It is equipped with a metal housing for the harsh conditions of industrial sites; its impact resistance is higher than that of series with plastic housings.
