AP 20 Plastic Diaphragm Pump
The AP 20 Plastic Diaphragm Pump, a plastic-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 2" threaded and flanged connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 565 liters per minute.
Air-operated diaphragm pumps operate on the principle of a double diaphragm that moves alternately with compressed air; thanks to their seal-less design, they provide leak-free transfer, are self-priming, and are not damaged by dry running.
The housing material can be selected from polypropylene, polypropylene, or PVDF (Kynar) alternatives; for the diaphragm and internal parts in contact with the fluid, materials such as Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM can be used.
The correct combination can be selected based on the chemical being pumped; the PVDF (Kynar) option provides high resistance to aggressive chemicals; the polypropylene housing is suitable for transferring acids and alkalis.
The discharge head ranges from 0 to 84 mss, the maximum suction lift is 6–8 m, and it can transfer liquids containing solid particles up to 6 mm in size.
Compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range is sufficient for drive; it consumes 33–169 m³/h of air through a 3/4" air connection.
The plastic housing ensures a long service life in corrosive environments; the series is designed for chemical transfer lines.
