AP 16 Plastic Diaphragm Pump
AP 16 Plastic Diaphragm Pump: A plastic-bodied, air-operated diaphragm pump with a 2" threaded connection, operating within a capacity range of 0–400 liters per minute.
Its operating principle relies on compressed air alternately moving two diaphragms; this seal-less design eliminates the risk of leakage. The pump is self-priming, resistant to dry running, and its flow rate can be continuously adjusted with air pressure.
It is manufactured with a polypropylene housing; options for internal components and diaphragms include Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM.
Material selection is based on the fluid being handled: the polypropylene housing is suitable for transferring acids and alkalis; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
The maximum suction head is 6–8 m, and the discharge head is 0–84 mss; it can be used with liquids containing solids up to 6 mm in diameter.
The pump is driven by compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range; the air connection is 3/4", and air consumption ranges from 10.3 to 85 m³/h.
With its corrosion-resistant plastic housing, it is suitable for use in transfer lines containing corrosive chemicals.
