AP 20 Hygienic Diaphragm Pump
The AP 20 Hygienic Diaphragm Pump, a hygienic-grade air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 2" (51 mm) Tri-Clamp connection; its capacity range is 0–565 liters per minute.
Its operating principle relies on compressed air alternately moving two diaphragms; this seal-less design eliminates the risk of leakage. The pump is self-priming, resistant to dry running, and its flow rate can be continuously adjusted via air pressure.
It is manufactured with a 316L stainless steel housing; Teflon, Santoprene, and EPDM options are available for the internal components and diaphragms.
Material selection is based on the fluid being handled: the stainless steel option is preferred for corrosive fluids and processes requiring hygiene; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
It offers a discharge head of 0–84 mss and a suction lift of 6–8 m; it can handle fluids containing solid particles up to 6 mm in size.
The pump is driven by compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range; the air connection is 3/4", and air consumption ranges from 33 to 169 m³/h.
Since the Tri-Clamp connections can be disassembled and reassembled without tools, it is preferred in hygienic processes such as food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic applications that require rapid cleaning.
