APX 30 Metallic Diaphragm Pump
The APX 30 Metal Diaphragm Pump, a metal-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 3" threaded connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 894 liters per minute.
The double diaphragm, driven by compressed air, provides a leak-free transfer without the need for a packing gland; the pump is self-priming and is not damaged by dry running or closed valve (deadhead) conditions.
The pump housing is available in Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Stainless Steel (316); options for the diaphragm and internal components in contact with the fluid include Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM.
Material selection is based on the fluid being handled: the stainless steel option is preferred for corrosive fluids and processes requiring hygiene; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
It provides a discharge head of 0–84 mss and a suction lift of 6–8 m; it can handle fluids containing solid particles up to 8 mm in size.
Compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range is sufficient for actuation; it consumes 33–235 m³/h of air via a 3/4" air connection.
The metal-bodied series offers a durable construction for demanding industrial environments prone to mechanical impact.
