AP 15 Metal Diaphragm Pump
The AP 15 Metal Diaphragm Pump, a metal-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 1½" threaded connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 400 liters per minute.
Its operating principle relies on compressed air alternately moving two diaphragms; this seal-less design eliminates the risk of leakage. The pump is self-priming, can run dry, and its flow rate is continuously adjustable via air pressure.
The pump housing is available in Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Stainless Steel (316); options for the diaphragm and internal components in contact with the fluid include Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM.
Material selection is based on the fluid being handled: the stainless steel option is preferred for corrosive fluids and processes requiring hygiene; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
The discharge head ranges from 0 to 84 mss, the maximum suction head is 6 to 8 m, and the pump can transfer fluids containing solid particles up to 6 mm in size.
The pump is driven by compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range; the air connection is 3/4", and air consumption ranges from 16 to 85 m³/h.
It is equipped with a metal housing for the harsh conditions of industrial sites; its impact resistance is higher than that of plastic-housed models.
