AP 11 Plastic Diaphragm Pump
The AP 11 Plastic Diaphragm Pump, a plastic-bodied air-operated diaphragm pump, is available with a 1" threaded connection; its capacity ranges from 0 to 160 liters per minute.
Air-operated diaphragm pumps operate on the principle of a double diaphragm that moves alternately with compressed air; thanks to their seal-less design, they provide leak-free transfer, are self-priming, and are not damaged by dry running.
The housing is made of polypropylene; for the diaphragm and internal parts in contact with the fluid, materials such as Neoprene, Buna-N, Teflon, Viton, Santoprene, and EPDM can be used.
Material selection is based on the fluid being handled: the polypropylene housing is suitable for transferring acids and alkalis; the Teflon diaphragm option allows for use with aggressive solvents.
It provides a discharge head of 0–84 mss and a suction lift of 6–8 m; it can handle fluids containing solid particles up to 4 mm in size.
The pump is driven by compressed air in the 0–8.4 bar range; the air connection is 1/2", and air consumption ranges from 10 to 67 m³/h.
With its corrosion-resistant plastic housing, it is suitable for use in transfer lines containing corrosive chemicals.
